This site is dedicated to the memory of our wonderful Mum.

Chriss was born in New Inn, Co Galway (Ireland) on the 8th January 1938.  She passed away peacefully in Wheatfields Hospice on the 22nd July 2015, surrounded by her loving family.  She grew up on her family’s farm in New Inn with her loving parents, Katy and Patrick, and siblings; Patsy, Seamus, Eileen, Maureen and Kitty. After training in Dublin, she moved to Manchester in her early twenties to become a nurse, and finally moved to Leeds.  It was here that she met our Dad, during an evening of dancing in the Majestic Dance Hall, and the rest is history!  She was the beloved wife of Colin, a much loved Mother to David, Peter and Samantha, and a loving Grandma to Jessica.  She was also a very dear Mother-in-Law to Maggie, Liz, and Mitchell.

Our wonderful Mum was a truly amazing woman; she devoted her entire life to her family and religion, and had a passion for gardening and travel.  We miss her more than she could ever imagine, and although we feel a great sense of emptiness in our hearts, her courage, strength, determination, and kindness will continue to inspire us throughout our lives.  She is much loved and greatly missed, and will always be remembered by all her friends and family.

This site is to encourage people to share their thoughts and memories of Mum, so that she is never forgotten.  Therefore, we would love it if you could add your stories (and pictures if you have them) in the ‘Lifestories’ section.

You can also make donations to Mum's fund by clicking on the ‘Make a donation’ link.  All money goes to Wheatfields Hospice, whose care for Mum in her final days was amazing.  I would like to thank everyone who attended Mum’s funeral, and donated £340.  This has kick-started Mum's tribute fund, and any future contributions will be added to this amount.

We love you so much Mum, you are always in our hearts and we are very proud of you. X
